چکیده
Abstract Flexible optical solar reflectors are made of single and multi-layered metal thin films on polymer substrates will encounter around 6000 thermal cycles exceeding +/-100°C during one year operation in low earth orbit. The candidate film system Inconel/silver (Ag)/Teflon (FEP) recently demonstrated early damage formation (cracks voids) after only a few cycles, most likely due to the poor interfacial properties between Ag FEP. An alternative material that could be used is colourless polyimide, Tormed, instead Additionally, aluminium (Al) has very good with polyimide even cycling suitable properties. adhesion Al/Tormed Ag/Tormed interfaces were evaluated tensile induced delamination. Generally, much higher interface energy compared Ag/Tormed, there no significant degradation bake-out vacuum (200°C, 10 -6 mbar) for 24 hrs. Thus, more robust coating future flexible reflectors.

Impact of Reflectors on Solar Energy Systems
The paper aims to show that implementing different types of reflectors in solar energy systems, will dramatically improve energy production by means of concentrating and intensifying more sunlight onto a solar cell. The Solar Intensifier unit is designed to increase efficiency and performance of a set of solar panels. The unit was fabricated and tested. The experimental results show good improv...

Strain-free GaAs/Al0.33Ga0.67As quantum rings are fabricated by droplet epitaxy. Both photoresponse and photoluminescence spectra confirm optical transitions in quantum rings, suggesting that droplet epitaxial nanomaterials are applicable to intermediate band solar cells. The effects of post-growth annealing on the quantum ring solar cells are investigated, and the optical properties of the sol...
متن کاملEffects of Optical Interference and Annealing on the Performance of Polymer/Fullerene Bulk Heterojunction Solar Cells
Polymer solar cells are of tremendous interests due to their attractive properties such as flexibility, ease of fabrication, low materials and energy budget. However, organic materials have short exciton diffusion length and poor charge mobility, which can greatly decrease the performance of polymer solar cells. These challenges can be effectively overcome through the use of the bulk heterojunc...
